A Beginners Guide to EATING in SF

Here are some of my favorite restaurants back home in good ol’ San Francisco

Hog Island Oysters(Located in the Embarcadero)- What’s better than sitting on the bay, watching the ferries arrive and enjoying the best clam chowder and oysters.
Citrus Club(Located on Haight Street)- This whole in the wall noodle shop has the most amazing Thai coconut curry soup with veggies and shrimp dumplings.
Blue Front Café(Located on Haight Street)- This is a cute and cool coffee shop that serves breakfast and Middle Eastern style wraps.  Their chicken schnitzel wrap with spicy hummus is the bomb.
Límon (Located in the Mission)- This Peruvian restaurant is a cool atmosphere, great food and even better prices.  Their roast chicken and yukka fries are quite amazing.  Oh! Sangria, too!
BiRite Ice Cream(Located near Dolores Park)- This is literally the best ice cream in San Francisco.  Their salted caramel flavor and their oatmeal cookie flavor are amazing.
Delfino Pizza(Located near Dolores Park, across the street from BiRite)- Amazing, amazing, brick oven pizza.  Stop in for their unique pizzas and a cold beer.
Yank Sing(Located near the Embarcadero)- Hands down the best Dim Sum in all of they City, and I eat a ton of Dim Sum.  The Har Gow, or shrimp dumplings, BBQ pork buns, lotus leaf rice and well, everything else, is so great.  Don’t forget the chili sauce for your soy sauce!
Original Joe’s (Located in North Beach)- down and dirty, amazing, authentic, San Francisco Italian food.  As soon as you walk into this place, you feel like you’ve stepped into the set of the God Father.  The chicken parm is amazing, the lasagne is amazing and it’s not on the menu, but the pasta with sea food, or fruite de mare, is out of this world.
