Oddly I have been craving a classic pasta salad for weeks now, so my 4th of July BBQ was the perfect opportunity to throw it into the menu.
A classic pasta salad to me is the mayo-y kind you probably ate with your grandma when you went on playdates at her house. Obviously there are many different types and variations of pasta salad but this is what I was feeling today
1/2 red onion, cubed
1 red bell pepper, cubed
4 stalks of celery, finely chopped
1 box of cooked macaroni pasta
1 1/2 cup of mayo
1 tsp of white vinegar
Salt & pepper
2 tbsp of Lawry’s seasoned salt
1 tsp of old bay
Cook your pasta according to the box, drain & set aside.
Add your mayo to the pasta & mix well
Add your spices & salt and pepper to taste.
Serve chilled & preferably accompanied by a hot dog or hamburger!
