Eating DC: Poppy’s Stuffed Bagels

Poppy’s Stuffed Bagels WILL change your life.  It is a fact.  I get my Poppy’s fix on Saturday & Sunday mornings from their pop-up stand on the corner of 17th & Corocan.  It is definitely one of my new favorite things about waking up slightly early on the weekend mornings!

These glorious balls of bagels and shmear are a two-bite bagel experience.  These are basically the jelly donuts of bagels.  The outside is a fluffy bagel and the inside is filled with amazingly flavored cream cheese.  I prefer the two savory flavors to the sweet one – but I am not a sweet bagel fan in general- and could eat about 12 all by myself.  The savory bagels come in two flavors; The Originals, with an everything bagel outside with a chive, onion & dill cream cheese and my ABSOLUTE favorite is the Barlic Gacon, which is a garlic and salt bagel with a roasted garlic and bacon cream cheese.  It is so delicious.

Moral of the story, if you see the Poppy’s Stuffed Bagel stand… GET SOME.  You can also check out their website to see what other vendors sell them!
